Pecan Pie - Southern Pecan Pie

  1. Combine butter, sugar and corn syrup.
  2. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Remove from heat and cool.
  4. Add eggs, vanilla and salt and blend well with a wire whip.
  5. When blended, pour filling into pie shell and cover top with pecans.
  6. Bake at 325 degrees (175 C.) for 50 - 55 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
