Fruitcake

  1. melt lard
  2. sift dry ingredients together
  3. beat eggs well.
  4. leave dates cherries and nuts whole
  5. mix the fruit and nuts with flour mixture
  6. add cherry juice and vanilla
  7. add eggs
  8. and lard.
  9. bake in 2 lined and greased pans at 300 degrees for about 1 1/2 hours.

dates, candied cherry, nut, walnuts, salt, sugar, flour, baking powder, cherry juice, eggs, vanilla, lard
