Maple Roasted Chicken
- 1 whole Roaster Chicken
- Salt And Pepper
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/4 cups Maple Syrup
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove the organs from inside the chicken, then rinse and pat the chicken dry.
- Grease a foil-lined baking sheet and place the chicken, breast-side-down, on the baking sheet.
- Drizzle olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Roast for 30 minutes, then turn the chicken breast-side-up and insert a meat thermometer into the area between the thigh and the breast.
- Pour maple syrup over the chicken, then season with more salt and pepper.
- Roast for approximately 45 minutes more, until the meat thermometer registers 165 degrees.
- Baste occasionally with additional maple syrup, if desired.
- When chicken finishes cooking, remove it from the oven and allow it to rest for 10 minutes.
- Carve and serve.
