Mixed Nut Bar Recipe
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tbsp. water
- 1/4 c. light corn syrup
- 1 can (11 or possibly 12 ounce.) mixed nuts, no peanuts
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 6 ounce. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips or possibly butterscotch chips
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Blend thoroughly 1/2 c. butter, brown sugar and flour.
- Spread in 9 x 13 inch pan and bake 10 min at 375 degrees.
- Mix together chips, water, the 2 Tbsp.
- butter, syrup and salt.
- Heat over low heat till all is melted and blended.
- Pour over baked crust and carefully place nuts over top.
- Bake for 8 min at 375 degrees.
- Cold and cut into 48 small bars.
