Scrumptious Strawberry Pie

  1. Note: I add 1 Tblsp.
  2. margarine to the thickened sauce before pouring over berries in pie shell).
  3. Puree 1 1/2 cups berries in blender or food processor.
  4. Combine sugar and tapioca, blending well with a fork.
  5. Stir into pureed berries.
  6. Add 1/2 c. water; blending well.
  7. Microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes.
  8. Then stir with fork or wire whisk.
  9. Microwave 2 more minutes or until thick.
  10. Stir to smooth.
  11. Arrange remaining berries in bottom of baked, cooled pie shell.
  12. Spoon or pour sauce over fresh strawberries .
  13. Chill and serve with whipped cream.
