Mom's Pecan Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Combine eggs and corn syrup; mix well.
  3. Add sugar; mix thoroughly.
  4. Stir in salt and vanilla.
  5. Let stand for about 5 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, spread pecans evenly on bottom of pie shell.
  7. Stir melted butter into syrup mixture; pour over pecans.
  8. Be sure all pecans rise to the top.
  9. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until center is firm.
