Elaine's Christmas Ribbon Salad

  1. Pour 1 1/4 cup boiling water over cherry Jell-O.
  2. Stir until dissolved.
  3. Stir in cherry pie filling.
  4. Pour into 13 x 9 glass pan.
  5. Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.
  6. Pour 1 cup boiling water over lime Jell-O.
  7. Stir until dissolved.
  8. Stir in pineapple with juice.
  9. Refrigerate until slightly thickened, but not set, about 30 minutes.
  10. Mix mayonnaise and Cool Whip.
  11. Gradually stir pineapple mixture into Cool Whip mixture.
  12. Pour over cherry layer.
  13. Chill until set.
