Steak on a stick
- 1 1/2 lb flank steak, cut across across the grain into 3/4" wide strips
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp scant - sherry or dry vermouth
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp chili paste
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- Place all ingredients in plastic bag and marinate 4-24 hours.
- Preheat broiler and spray cookie sheet with non stick cooking spray.
- Remove meat from marinade and discard marinade.
- Skewer beef, being sure not to overcrowd.
- Broil 6" from heat, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium.
