German Potato Salad

  1. Cook potatoes in jackets until fork tender.
  2. Peel and slice while hot.
  3. Add to serving bowl.
  4. Take scissors and cut bacon into little pieces.
  5. Crisp in pan.
  6. Take bacon out leaving grease in the pan.
  7. Add onion and celery to pan and saute till golden.
  8. Turn off heat and add relish to pan.
  9. Heat water, vinegar, sugar, salt, paprika and dry mustard to boiling.
  10. Combine all ingredients together.
  11. Allow to sit for awhile for flavors to marry.
  12. Serve hot.
  13. Even better the next day!
