Whole Steamed Lobster
- 1 quart water
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1/2 bunch fresh parsley
- 5 black peppercorns
- 2 (1 1/2-pound) whole lobsters
- Fit a very large stockpot or soup pot with a rack or an upside-down heat-proof plate on the bottom.
- This will keep the lobsters out of the water so they will steam cook instead of boil.
- Then combine all the ingredients except for the lobsters and bring to a boil.
- Place the lobsters on the rack, cover tightly with the lid and turn the heat to low.
- The lobsters will steam in approximately 7 minutes.
