Blackened Salmon
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Paprika
- 2 teaspoons Sea Salt
- 2 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Cumin
- 1/4 teaspoons Coriander
- 1/4 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
- 2 pieces Salmon
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Combine the spices (sugar, paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, cumin, coriander, and cayenne pepper) to make the spice rub.
- Dry salmon with paper towels.
- Cover both sides of the fillet with spice rub, pressing the seasoning into the meat.
- Heat oil in an oven-safe skillet on medium high heat.
- Place the salmon into the pan, searing for 1-2 minutes on each side.
- Place the skillet into the 350 degrees F oven for 3-4 minutes, or until the meat flakes with a fork.
