Homemade soft tortillas
- 800 ml regular flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 salt
- 50 ml vegetable oil
- 300 ml water
- Combine the salt, flour and baking powder in a bowl.
- Add the water and the oil, and mix well until you have a smooth dough.
- Cover the dough and chill it for at least 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 10 equally sized pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
- Using a rolling pin and some flour, roll them out until they are about 2-3mm thick.
- Cook them in a dry pan on medium heat.
- Immediately let them sit under a baking cloth or something similar, until they are completely cool.
- It is then they will soften.
- Either eat immediately or freeze them until you need/want them.
