Slow Cooked Beef Stroganoff
- 1 lb beef stew meat, cubed and fat removed
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1 beef bouillon cube, crumbled
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed golden mushroom soup
- 12 cup onion, chopped
- 0.5 (1 ounce) packet onion soup mix (half a packet)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 14 cup water
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon sour cream
- 12 lb mushroom, sliced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- In a slow cooker, combine the meat, garlic, pepper, bullion cube, soup, onion, onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce and water.
- Cook on low for 8 hours, or on high for 5-6 hours.
- Saute mushrooms in a skillet with the butter and add them to the slow cooker 1/2 an hour before serving.
- Stir in cream cheese and sour cream just before serving.
- Serve over egg noodles.
