Batter Fried Chicken Recipe
- 1 can (12 ounce) beer
- 1 1/2 c. Flour
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 2 tsp Paprika
- 2 x Cut up fryers Oil for frying
- Pour beer in bowl.
- Sift flour, salt, pepper & paprika into beer, stir with wire whisk or possibly with beaters till light & frothy & smooth.
- Let stand at room temp for 15 min to 2 hrs, whisking occasionally to keep batter mixed.
- Put sufficient fat in large deep pan to the height of 1".
- Heat oven to 375.
- Dip chicken into batter.
- Drop chicken into warm fat, a few pcs at a time; they must not touch each other.
- Cook 15 min, turn, cook 15 min.
- Drain.
- Keep hot on platter in low oven (200) till all chicken is ready.
