Candy Apples
- 2 cup Water
- 4 cup White granulated sugar
- 2 cup Light corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp Red food coloring (optional)
- 8 Apples
- 8 Wooden sticks
- 3/4 Any toppings
- 1 Wax paper
- 1 Unsalted butter
- Add the water,granulated sugar,corn syrup,and the red food coloring (if you want to) and put them in the pot.
- Put the candy thermometer in the pot and wait till it hits 290-300 degrees ( might take 15-20 minutes)(put the stove at medium temperature )
- If you don't have a candy thermometer have a cup with cold water and wait till the surface of the pot looks bubbly and dry.get the cold water and have a spoon with a little bit of the candy and pour it in the cup .
- If it looks hard then your ready to get the apples
- Get the candy apples and dip them in the pot an swirl them in the candy you can add any toppings or not.
- Have wax paper with the unsalted butter and put the apples there to dry.
- Now you can eat and enjoy!
