Spaghetti Sauce
- 1 whole Onion, Chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 28 ounces, weight (1 Can) Whole Peeled Tomatoes, With Liquid
- 6 ounces, weight Tomato Paste
- 2 Tablespoons Dried Basil
- 1 Tablespoon Dried Oregano
- 2 whole Bay Leaves
- 1 Tablespoon Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoons Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/4 cups Red Wine
- In a small skillet, saute onion and garlic in oil, until tender.
- Place onion and garlic as well as all remaining ingredients in a large sauce pot.
- Simmer for 2 to 3 hours over low heat.
- Remove bay leaves before serving.
