Wheat, Egg, Milk Free Bread Recipe
- 2 1/2 c. whole rye flour
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 c. seedless raisins or possibly minced figs
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 c. hot water
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 2 tbsp. veg. oil or possibly melted shortening
- Combine and mix flour, baking pwdr and salt in bowl.
- Stir in raisins or possibly figs.
- Combine soda, hot water, molasses and oil or possibly melted shortening.
- Add in liquids to dry ingredients; stir just till dry ingredients are moistened.
- Turn into greased loaf pan (9 x 5 x 3).
- Bake in moderate oven 350 degrees till done, 45 to 50 min.
