Grilled Garlic Toast Bruschetta
- 1 1/2 lb. softened butter
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 6 oz. ground Parmesan cheese
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. ground Romano cheese (optional)
- 3 baguette (sourdough style) French bread
- dash of Tabasco or to taste
- Slice baguette in 1/4-inch slices.
- Combine all ingredients, mixing well.
- Using a flat knife, spread mixture thickly on slice baguette.
- Arrange on waxed paper covered tray (no spacing necessary; close together is fine).
- Place in a 400u0b0 preheated oven for 8 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Allow to cool on the tray, then transfer to a plate.
- These are great the day before needed or the day you intent to serve them.
- If made the day before a double batch may be necessary.
- Family and friends may want to sample them before you make it to the table! Check after 5 minutes.
- Cooking times may vary depending upon your oven.
