PEBBLES Holiday Crispy Squares
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
- 1 pkg. (10-1/2 oz.) JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows (6 cups)
- 1 pkg. (13 oz.) fruit-flavored or cocoa sweetened rice cereal (about 8-1/2 cups)
- LINE 13x9-inch pan with foil; lightly grease foil.
- MICROWAVE butter in 4-quart microwavable bowl on HIGH 45 seconds or until melted.
- Add marshmallows; mix to coat.
- Microwave 1-1/2 minutes or until marshmallows are melted and smooth, stirring after 45 seconds.
- Add cereal; mix to coat well.
- PRESS firmly into prepared pan.
- Cool.
- Cut into squares.
- For holiday packages, garnish with bows made from chewy fruit snack rolls or string licorice, if desired.
- Fruity PEBBLES Wreaths: Prepare cereal mixture as directed above.
- With greased hands, shape 1/2 cup of the cereal mixture into wreath shape.
- Place on wax paper-lined tray.
- Repeat with remaining cereal mixture.
- Cool.
- Garnish with green decorating icing and red hot cinnamon candies or bows made from chewy fruit snack rolls or string licorice, if desired.
- Makes 18 wreaths.
- Fruity PEBBLES Snowballs: Prepare cereal mixture as directed above.
- With greased hands, shape 1/2 cupfuls of the cereal mixture into balls.
- Place 1/2 cup powdered sugar in large zipper-style plastic bag.
- One at a time, shake balls in sealed plastic bag until evenly coated.
- Place on wax paper-lined tray.
- Makes 18 snowballs.
