Potato Cheese Bread
- 200 grams Bread (strong) flour
- 20 grams Sugar
- 20 grams Butter
- 3 grams Salt
- 3 grams Dry yeast
- 1/2 Egg
- 120 ml Water (to mix with the egg)
- 1 large Potato
- 2 slice Sliced cheese
- 1 Salt and pepper
- 1 Mayonnaise
- 1 Parsley (optional)
- 1/2 Egg (for finishing)
- Put the ingredients into the bread maker and prepare the dough.
- When the first rising is done, divide into 6 pieces, cover with a damp towel, and let rest for 10 minutes.
- While you wait, peel the potato and cut into eighths.
- Put in a heatproof bowl, lightly wrap with plastic, and microwave until softened.
- Once heated, gently pat dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.
- Cut the cheese slices into fourths to make 8 pieces.
- When the 10 minutes are up, roll out the dough and wrap up a slice of cheese and piece of potato in each piece of dough.
- Close the gaps well and let rise (second rising) at 40C for 35 minutes.
- When the second rising is finished, brush the egg over the top and use kitchen scissors to cut a deep cross on the top of the dough balls.
- Top with mayonnaise and parsley to taste.
- Bake in an oven heated to 180C for 15~20 minutes and enjoy!
