Carne Asada
- 2 lbs flank steaks or 2 lbs skirt steaks
- 12 cup olive oil
- 1 jalapeno, seeded and minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
- 2 limes, juice of
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 12 teaspoon sugar
- salt and pepper
- Lay the flank steak in a large non reflective bowl.Combine ingredients to form marinade
- Then pour marinade over steak.
- Cover for 1-4 hours, and refrigerate.
- Preheat grill pan on medium high flame.
- Brush the grates with some olive oil toi prevent the meat from sticking.
- Season the steak with the salt and pepper.
- Grill the pieces for a few minutes until they are medium rare.
