Candied Yams And Cranberries Recipe

  1. Wash yams or possibly potatoes; drain but don't dry.
  2. Set in slow-cooking pot.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hrs (depending on size and shape).
  4. Peel and cut into quarters.
  5. Place in 2 qt casserole.
  6. In medium saucepan, heat butter; add in sugar, cranberries, salt and pepper.
  7. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat till cranberries pop and sugar dissolves.
  8. Pour over yams in casserole.
  9. * Cover and bake in 350 F oven for 30 min.
