Orange Freeze Dessert Pie

  1. dissolve gelatin in boiling orange juice.
  2. add softened ice cream by spoonfuls, blending until dissolved.
  3. chill until slightly thickened.
  4. stir in mandarin oranges.
  5. fold in whipped topping.
  6. pour into baked pie shell.
  7. freeze until firm (about 2 hours).
  8. remove from freezer 10 mins before serving.
