Pancakes to Make the World Go Round

  1. Combine the dry ingredients in a big baking bowl.
  2. Melt butter in a non-stick skillet, and mix all the wet ingredients together in another bowl.
  3. Make a well in the middle of the flour-mixture, and pour in the liquid ingredients.
  4. Whisk together until well combined, but be careful not to over-mix.
  5. The batter should still be a little bit lumpy.
  6. Let stand on the countertop for at least 15 minutes.
  7. Re-heat the same pan you used to melt butter.
  8. The pancakes actually get prettier if you dont use an exaggerated amount of butter when cooking, so for once, keep clear of the fat.
  9. Pour approximately 1/4-1/3 cup of batter into the pan, and cook the pancake for 1-2 minutes, until bubbly on top.
  10. Flip, and cook an additional minute on the other side.
  11. Continue with the rest of the pancakes, and serve warm with syrup of your liking.
  12. This recipe yields approximately 14 5-inch-pancakes and serves a family of four.
