An Appetizing Side Dish Parboiled Spinach with Sesame Oil

  1. Rinse and chop spinach into bite-sized pieces, then parboil in boiling water with a pinch of salt.
  2. Drain and rinse with cold water, then thoroughly squeeze out excess water.
  3. In a bowl, combine the spinach, bonito flakes, a dash of salt (or 1 teaspoon men-tsuyu), and sesame oil, then toss evenly.
  4. Transfer to a serving dish and serve!
