Fried and Stewed Spicy Konnyaku!
- 2 slice Konnyaku
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 1 pinch Chopped red chili peppers
- 200 ml Water
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Sake
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tsp Dashi stock powder
- Add slits into the middle of the konnyaku for the flavor to penetrate.
- Cut it into bite-sized pieces.
- Put step 1 in a pan and pour water to cover and boil it for three minutes when the water starts to boil.
- Then drain the hot water with a sieve.
- Use the same pan to make step 2, pour sesame oil, and fry the drained konnyaku until it bubbles.
- Add the ingredients in order.
- Cover the pan after adding the chopped red chili peppers and turn heat to medium high.
- Dish is ready when the liquid evaporates.
- Check the pan and liquid and stir whenever necessary.
