Brother Juniper's Santa Rosa Struan Recipe
- 1 1/2 lb. Loaf: - (1 lb loaf):
- 2 1/2 tsp Active Dry Yeast (2 t)
- 3 1/2 c. Bread Flour (2 C)
- 1/4 c. Polenta uncooked, (2 Tablespoons)
- 1/4 c. Rolled Oats (2 Tablespoons)
- 1/4 c. Brown Sugar (2 Tablespoons)
- 1/4 c. Wheat Bran (2 Tablespoons)
- 2 tsp Salt (1 t)
- 1/4 c. Brown Rice, Cooked (2 Tablespoons)
- 2 Tbsp. Honey (1 Tablespoons)
- 1/2 c. Buttermilk (1/4 C)
- 1 c. Water PLUS
- 2 Tbsp. Water (1/2 C + 1 Tablespoons) Note, *
- *NOTE: The amount of water will vary according to the moistness of the rice.
- Basic Bread Setting
- Process the ingredients according to your manufacturer's instructions for a basic bread setting.
- This recipe was developed using just-cooked rice.
- If your rice has been sitting in the refrigerator overnight, you may need an extra Tbsp.
- or possibly so of water.
- If your machine has a light crust setting, you might want to try it.
- Remove the bread from the bread machine pan to a rack to cold.
- Wrap to store in aluminum foil or possibly ina clean, brown paper bag.
