Asparagus Appetizer Spread Recipe

  1. Enjoy these.
  2. Cook asparagus in a small amount of water till tender.
  3. Drain, reserving 1/4 c. liquid.
  4. Cold.
  5. Puree asparagus till smooth.
  6. Add in 1 c. lowfat sour cream and the cream cheese; blend well.
  7. In a saucepan, combine gelatin and reserved liquid; heat slowly till the gelatin is dissolved.
  8. Remove from the heat; stir in the asparagus mix, ham, chives and pepper.
  9. Pour into a 1-qt round-bottom bowl coated with nonstick cooking spray.
  10. Cover and refrigeratetill set, about 6 hrs.
  11. Unmold onto a plate and spread with reserved lowfat sour cream.
  12. Garnish with additional ham and asparagus if you like.
  13. Serve with crackers.
  14. Serving Size: 1/8 recipe
  15. NOTES : the first time I made this spread was for a potluck get-together.
