Gram's Broccoli Cheese Soup
- 20 ounces frozen chopped broccoli
- water
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 extra small onion, chopped
- salt
- pepper
- 10 ounces cream of chicken soup
- 6 ounces evaporated milk (1/2 of a regular size can)
- less schwan's yellow american processed cheese slice
- 2 -3 teaspoons cornstarch
- Place broccoli and water in pot making sure to fill pot with water 1/3 full.
- Add onion, salt and pepper.
- When water is hot add bouillon cubes, cook until broccoli is tender.
- Add cream of chicken and milk.
- Break up cheese and add to soup stirring until melted.
- Make a thickner with the cornstarch and some cold water to thicken soup.
- Thickner will be like water.
- Start with 3 tablespoons cold water mixed with cornstarch adding more water if cornstarch is not completely dissolved.
