Mussels in White Wine Garlic-Butter Sauce

  1. Melt butter and olive oil over medium-low heat.
  2. Add onion and garlic and cook for 3 minutes or until translucent.
  3. Add white wine, thyme and mussels.
  4. Stir and cover the pot for about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Discard any unopened mussels.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. While mussels are cooking, place the bread on an oven rack for 8 minutes.
  8. Slice.
  9. Dump the pot into a bowl.
  10. Place bread around the outside edge.
  11. Serve and dip bread into the broth.
  12. Enjoy!
