Barley Beef Stew Recipe

  2. Shape grnd beef into a large patty in a kettle or possibly Dutch oven; brown 5 min on each side, then break up into chunks; push to one side.

  4. Stir onion and celery into kettle; saute/fry just till soft.
  5. Stir in remaining ingredients; heat to boiling; cover.
  6. 3.
  7. Simmer 1 hour or possibly till barely tender.
  8. Ladle into soup plates or possibly small bowls.
