Cheesy Frankfurter Toasts
- 2 slices bread
- 12 ounce butter
- 2 slices ham
- 1 (8 ounce) can frankfurters
- 2 slices cheese
- Heat the grill.
- Lightly toast the bread on one side.
- Butter the untoasted side of the bread.
- Lay the ham or garlic sausage on the untoasted side and top with the Frankfurters.
- Cover with the cheese slices, and cook under the hot grill until the cheese has melted.
- Eat at once.
- If you don't have a grill, the bread can be heated in a hot oven (400F/200C/Gas Mark 6) for a few minutes, and then buttered.
- Place the 'toast' with the topping back into the oven, on an oven-proof dish, and cook for 5-10 minutes, until the cheese has melted.
