Grilled Hawaiian Sandwiches
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
- 8 slices bread oat nut, whole wheat or your favorite
- 3/4 pound deli ham brown sugar or maple, very thinly sliced
- 4 slices swiss cheese deli
- 8 ounces pineapple, canned, crushed drained
- Briefly warm ham in very large, dry skillet; set aside.
- Spread softened butter or margarine on one side of each of slice of bread.
- Place up to 4 slices (depends on your skillet size) butter-side-down in the same skillet over medium-high heat.
- Top each with cheese, crushed pineapple and ham.
- Place remaining bread slices on top of each, buttered-side-up.
- Turn when bottom slices are golden.
- Cook until other side browns, about 2 minutes.
- Repeat process until all sandwiches are made.
