Chocolate Pecan Pie

  1. Place chocolate in small bowl.
  2. Melt in microwave, stirring every 20 seconds.
  3. Cool.
  4. Cream butter and sugar.
  5. Add eggs one at a time beating well.
  6. Add corn syrup, salt, vanilla, and chocolate.
  7. Mix well.
  8. Stir in pecans.
  9. Pour into unbaked pie shell.
  10. Bake at 375 degrees (200 C.) for 35-45 minutes.
  11. (If it is browning too fast cover with a sheet of aluminum foil.
  12. Serve in small slices topped with whipped cream.
