Chicken Curry
- 10 Chicken drumsticks
- 1 Onion
- 1 dash Oil
- 1 1/2 tbsp Sake
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Grated ginger (tube)
- 700 ml Water
- 1 Consomme soup stock cube
- 3 pieces Curry roux (ready-made)
- 20 grams Butter
- 1 tbsp Ketchup
- Put the chicken drumsticks, sake, salt, and ginger in a plastic bag, then rub in well.
- Let sit for 20 minutes.
- In the meantime, thinly slice the onion.
- Pour a small amount of oil in a heated frying pan, and fry the chicken drumsticks from Step 1 over medium heat.
- When browned, add the onion, and continue stir-frying until they are soft and wilted.
- Add water and consomme to Step 2, and simmer for about 15-20 minutes over low heat.
- Add the curry roux, butter, and ketchup, simmer for another 5-10 minutes, then it's done.
