Apple Dapple Cake Recipe
- 3 c. Flour
- 2 c. Sugar
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3 x Egg, beaten
- 1 c. Vegetable oil
- 1/2 c. Apple juice
- 2 tsp Vanilla
- 3 c. Apple, green, peeled, minced
- 1 c. Nuts, minced
- 1 c. Brown sugar
- 1/4 c. Butter or possibly margarine
- 1/3 c. Whipping cream
- In very large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, soda, and salt; make a well in center and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine Large eggs, oil, apple juice, and vanilla, stir till well mixed.
- Stir in appled and nuts.
- Pour egg mix into well of dry ingredients.stirring just till moistened.
- Pour into greased 9x13 pan.
- Bake 350 for 45-50 min, or possibly till toothpick comes out clean.
- For sauce, in a small saucepan combine brown sugar, butter and cream.
- Cook and stir over meduim heat just untill bubbly and all of the sugar is dissolved, cold slightly.
- Serve sauce over cake slices.
- I usually double sauce recipe.
- Store sauce in the refrigerator, hot for leftover cake.
