Steve's Oven Baked BBQ Ribs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp liquid smoke
- 1 bottle favorite BBQ sauce
- 1 rack pork back ribs
- Preheat oven to 300.
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Remove membrane from ribs by making light cut down middle of underside and pulling membrane away.
- Sometimes using a paper towel makes it easier to grasp the membrane.
- Cut rack of ribs in half for easier handling.
- Mix spices and sugar together.
- Rub generously all over ribs, front and back.
- Lay meat side down on baking sheet, cover ribs with more foil.
- Baked for 3 hours.
- Mix 2 cups BBQ sauce with liquid smoke.
- Baste ribs with BBQ sauce, turn over and baste again.
- Broil on high for 5 minutes or longer if desired.
- Be sure to broil meat side up.
- You can also transfer to grill instead of broiling if you desire.
- Cut up ribs and enjoy with side of BBQ sauce!
