Wendy's Chocolate Chip Cookie Bark Recipe
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 c. butter, softened
- 1/4 c. vegetable shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 pkg. (12 ounce.) semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. oats
- 1/2 c. minced walnut (optional)
- Mix flour and salt and set aside.
- Beat butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla in mixer, beat till light and fluffy scraping bowl.
- Gradually beat in flour mix till well combined.
- Stir in 1 c. chocolate chips and 1/4 c. oats.
- Pat dough into greased jelly roll pan 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches.
- Sprinkle remaining oats, walnuts and 1 c. chocolate chips over the top.
- Press lightly onto dough.
- Bake 25 min at 375 degrees or possibly till edges are lightly browned.
- Cold completely in pan on wire rack.
- Break in 2 x 1 inch pcs.
- Makes 6 dozen.
