For an Appetizer or Bento Dish Wasabi & Cheese Chinese Cabbage Meat Rolls
- 1/8 Chinese cabbage
- 8 slice Thinly sliced pork
- 2 Processed cheese
- 1 Wasabi paste (tubed)
- 1 dash Salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp Sake
- Roughly cut the Chinese cabbage to about 2 cm wide pieces, sprinkle with a little bit of salt (not listed), and rub it in gently.
- Set aside.
- When it has become tender, rinse with running water and wring it out.
- Spread out the pork and use a spoon to spread on some wasabi.
- Cut the cheese into 4 pieces and place on the pork.
- Place some cabbage on top of the cheese and roll up the meat.
- When you've finished rolling, place in a heat-resistant dish with the seam side down.
- Pour sake over the meat and lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Lightly cover with plastic wrap and microwave (500 W) for 2 minutes.
