Grand French Toast Recipe
- 1 (11 ounce.) can mandarin oranges
- 2/3 c. orange juice
- 6 lg. Large eggs
- 1/3 c. Grand Marnier
- 1/3 c. lowfat milk (whole or possibly half and half)
- 3 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tbsp. grated orange peel
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 loaf French bread, day old, sliced in 1 inch slices (Baguette)
- Put oranges and orange juice in food processor for 1 minute on high, add in Large eggs and liquefy.
- Add in lowfat milk, Grand Marnier, sugar, peel, vanilla, and salt.
- Profess 1 minute.
- Place bread slices in a shallow dish and pour mix over.
- Let stand for 30 min, turning once.
- Heat butter in a large skillet till warm; saute/fry bread 3-4 min on each side or possibly till browned.
