Chocolate Pecan Brittle
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 cup pecan halves
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
- Combine sugar, corn syrup and salt in 1-1/2 qt glass bowl or casserole.
- Microwave on HIGH for 4 minutes.
- Stir in pecans.
- Microwave on HIGH for 4 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring every 2 minutes.
- Add butter, vanilla and chocolate; stir until chocolate is melted.
- Pour mixture onto greased baking sheet, spreading as thin as possible, using 2 forks.
- Cool and break into small pieces.
