Beef Stroganoff-Russian Style

  1. Coat beef strips with 1 tablespoon flour and salt.
  2. Brown beef strips quickly in 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet.
  3. Add mushrooms, onion and garlic; cook until onion is crisp-tender, 3 to 4 min.
  4. Remove meat and mushrooms from pan.
  5. Add 2 tablespoon butter to pan drippings; blend in 3 tablespoon flour.
  6. Add tomato paste.
  7. Stir in broth.
  8. Stir over medium heat until thick and bubbly.
  9. Return meat and mushrooms to skillet.
  10. Stir in sour cream; cook slowly until heated through.
  11. Do not boil.
  12. Serve over hot buttered noodles.
