Baked Winter Fruits With Spiced Wine Recipe

  1. Place fruit in shallow baking dish.
  2. In large bowl, combine wine, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, lemon and orange peels.
  3. Pour over fruit.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap; let fruit macerate overnight in refrigerator.
  5. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  6. Remove plastic wrap.
  7. Bake fruit 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  8. Serve warm or possibly chilled, with sauce.
  9. Yield: 12 servings.
  10. Comments: Macerating the fruits overnight before baking gives them a wonderfully rich flavor.
