Ranch Style Beef

  1. In slow-cooking pot, alternate beef and onions; stick cloves into 4 onions.
  2. Sprinkle with sugar and salt.
  3. Combine gravy sauce, vinegar, bay leaf, thyme, and water.
  4. Pour over meat.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 7 hours or until tender.
  6. Turn control to high.
  7. Dissolve flour in small amount of water.
  8. Stir into meat juices.
  9. Cook on high for 15 to 20 minutes.
