Soft Lemon Drops

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Combine sugar and butter in bowl.
  3. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.
  4. Add sour cream, eggs, lemon zest and lemon extract; continue beating until well mixed.
  5. Add flour, baking powder and salt; beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.
  6. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
  8. Cool completely.
  9. Combine powdered sugar and enough lemon juice for desired glazing consistency in bowl.
  10. Frost cooled cookies with glaze.
