Larry'S Country Cornbread
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- dash of seasoned salt
- 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 c. cooked rice
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 1 (1 lb.) box Velveeta cheese
- 2 pkg. cornbread mix, prepared as directed
- Brown ground beef and onion together; drain.
- Return to skillet.
- Add salt, pepper, garlic, seasoned salt, Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, cooked rice and brown sugar.
- Simmer 1 minute.
- Pour ingredients into a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
- Top with slices of Velveeta cheese.
- Pour prepared cornbread mixture on top of cheese.
- Bake as directed per cornbread directions.
- Serve with salad.
