Homemade Herbed Croutons
- 1 loaf french bread or other rolls
- 2/3 cup olive oil
- 1 tbsp granulated garlic
- 1 tbsp onion powder (not salt)
- 1 tbsp thyme
- 1 tbsp parsley
- 1 tbsp basil
- 1 tbsp rosemary
- 1/2 tbsp cardamom
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees .
- Cut bread into 1/2-1 inch cubes and add to large mixing bowl.
- Add olive oil to bread and mix to coat.
- The more olive oil you use the crunchier your croutons will be.
- How much oil you add is up to you.
- You really can't mess this recipe up.
- Add all your herbs, salt and pepper.
- You can mix up the herbs you like best on this step.
- Be creative!
- Dump bread mixture onto a foil lined baking sheet.
- (Do not use nonstick cooking spray).
- Arrange in a single layer.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 5-7 minutes depending on how crispy you want them.
- Let cool and serve!
- TIP***These croutons crushed up make the best bread crumbs!
- You will literally never buy store bought croutons again once you start these..cheap and soooo easy to make and quick!
