Steak Benedict
- 1 large rib eye steak
- 1 sourdough baguette
- 5 eggs
- 12 cup butter
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 lemon
- salt
- pepper
- 1.
- Place precooked baguette into the oven for 10-12 minutes at 350.
- 2.
- While this is cooking, season steak with salt and pepper, and begin cooking it in 4 tablespoons of butter on medium heat.
- While you are cooking it, tilt your pan to the side and drizzle butter over the steak.
- You should cook it for about 5-6 minutes per side to get it to a medium result.

- Poach 2 eggs and lightly salt and pepper them.
- Make the yokes slightly runny.
- 4.
- In a small pot, melt the other stick of butter.
- 5.
- Simultaneously, place 3 egg yokes into the blender.
- Add salt, pepper, and squeeze the lemon juice into the blender.
- Remove any stray seeds.
- 6.
- Begin to blend the mixture.
- While you are blending, add the melted butter a small stream at a time.
- Stop every few seconds to simply blend until your hollandaise sauce thickens.
- 7.
- When you finish, cut a large piece of baguette off of the loaf.
- Hollow it out, but save the inside part of the bread.
- 8.
- Take the baguette shell, and place it on a plate.
- 9.
- Take the steak, and cut it into small strips.
- Place several of those strips inside the baguette shell.
- Place the poached egg on top of the baguette shell.
- The spoon hollandaise mixture on top of the egg.
- 10.
- Place the remainder of the bread on the side of your tower.
- Put a dollop of hollandaise on it as well, and serve.
