Beefy Mushroom Stuffed Manicotti Recipe
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1 c. fresh sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 teaspoon fennel seed
- 1/2 c. minced green pepper
- 1 (32 ounce.) jar spaghetti sauce
- 8 ounce. ribbed manicotti
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Can buy spaghetti sauce including these ingredients.
- In large skillet saute/fry beef, mushrooms, fennel seed, green pepper, drain off excess fat.
- Add in salt and 3/4 c. spaghetti sauce; mix well.
- In bottom of 2 qt casserole, pour small amount of spaghetti sauce.
- Fill manicotti and place in dish.
- Spoon remaining spaghetti sauce over desired amount over filled manicotti.
- Cover.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 min.
- Remove cover, sprinkle Parmesan cheese over top.
- Return to oven for 5 min.
