Poppy Seed Bread With Green Onions And Cheese

  1. In the large bowl of the electric mixer, beat together first 5 ingredients until butter is the size of small peas.
  2. Beat in the next 4 ingredients until blended.
  3. Beat milk and egg, then add to the bowl, stirring until dry ingredients are just moistened.
  4. Do not overbeat.
  5. Pour into oiled 8 x 4-inch loaf pan and bake in a 350u0b0 oven for 45 to 55 minutes or until top is golden brown and a cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
  6. (If top is browning too quickly, then tent loosely with foil.)
  7. Cool 10 minutes, then remove from pan and continue cooling on a rack. Yields one loaf.
